    Personal Background:
    Dr. Flemer is a Vermont Native who has resided in the Burlington area for 25 years. He received both his B.A. and Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Vermont, graduating with a Doctorate in February of 2005 under the guidance of Dr. Jose S. Madalengoitia, designing and constructing peptide mimics whose structural foundation was based upon Proline-Templated Amino Acid residues. Following the bestowment of his Doctorate, Dr. Flemer took a position in the College of Medicine as the Assistant Director of the new UVM Protein Core Facility, supervising its initial establishment as a business entity and managing the current daily protocol of peptide synthesis for UVM researchers. Presently, Dr. Flemer's efforts are advancing a series of peptide-based original research projects which have been driving a significant publication record.
