The July 2010 Gordon Research Conference on Hemostasis was held at the Waterville Valley Resort in Waterville Valley New Hampshire.

July 2010.  Six members of the department represented UVM at the biennial meeting held in late July of 2010 at the Waterville Valley Resort in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, a small conference which is both nationally and internationally renowned.  Dr. Kenneth Mann was the opening speaker on Sunday, July 25th, discussing “Discovery of Thrombin and its Central Role in Coagulation.” Dr. Paula Tracy served as a discussion leader, and Dr. Saulius Butenas and graduate students Jolanta Amblo, Laura Haynes, and Jeremy Wood presented posters at the conference.  Jolanta, Laura, and Jeremy also presented talks and posters at the associated Gordon-Kenan Research Seminar for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, at which Jolanta won one of only three awards given for her talk entitled, “Quantitative Analysis of Carbohydrates of Natural and Recombinant Human Tissue Factor.”
